Old time fiddle and mandolin players Ken Waldman and Adam Tanner will offer a Laurel Folk School workshop “GOING FURTHER WITH FIDDLE (OR MANDOLIN).” This will be an inclusive workshop, so no matter your experience and ability, you’ll leave with something new, whether a new tune, or resources on how to better learn, or some tips to improve your playing.
Adam Tanner is on staff at this coming summer’s Swannanoa Old-Time Week, and is a former faculty member of ETSU’s Old-Time Music Program. Ken Waldman has combined old-time fiddling with poetry and storytelling since 1995. His 12 CDs are a mix of traditional fiddle tunes and over 100 of his own compositions.
$15 general admission, $10 JCA members, seniors, and students
